Implementation Engineers at Air have a quantitative mindset and firm understanding of how to use technology and data to solve hard customer problems. Implementation Engineers are responsible for leveraging quantitative skills to configure Air's technology to achieve customer outcomes, communicate data-driven insights to executives in the national security community, and produce compelling program insights, data visualization, and briefings. In order to do this job well, you must be analytical, understand people, have a strong drive to use technology to solve the hardest problems, and want to learn everything, particularly about the most pressing national security challenges confronting the nation and how data and machine learning can help address them. You're eager to build a deep understanding of US Government and Defense acquisition processes and the importance of effective and efficient program management, supply chain risk management, and program and technology modernization. You ask hard, uncomfortable questions. You know there are always multiple answers to hard problems, and you know how to engage in a constructive dialogue to find the best path forward. This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.This role requires 60% travel to client sites across the United States - CONUS and OCONUSScope of ResponsibilitiesDevelop expertise in Air's clients, offerings, and data, and support customers as an Air product and data expertExecute the successful implementation of software and data to Air's customers and provide platform trainingUse coding languages (SQL, Python) to conduct technical platform configuration and data integrationCollaborate with Air Engagement Managers and Product Managers to capture market demand and user needs for inclusion into Air's offeringsProactively drive utilization of the product using targeted training and engagement strategies that drive mission outcomes and analytical insights for platform usersDevelop and maintain documentation, such as tailored user guide reference materialsConduct research and develop quantitative analytic reports using Air technology and dataOrally and visually present data-driven findings concisely and compellingly to internal teams, as well as government officialsDemonstrate knowledge in areas such as US Government programs and operations, federal acquisitions and program management, government procurement practices, supplier assurance, federal contracting, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Supply Chain Risk Management, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysisDepending on your background and expertise, you could also be responsible for:Support the success of Air clients via end-user training and user supportProvide technical workflow development and configurationCommunicate data-driven insights to executives in the national security spaceConduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses on problems of importance to U.S. national security community using data visualization, compelling written paper and briefingsProvide product demonstrations in support of sales pursuits effortsQualificationsU.S. Citizenship is requiredBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, International Relations, Political Science, International Security or similar fields, or 1-4 years of equivalent experienceRequired Skills:Proficiency in at least one programming language - SQL, Python, or R - sufficient to write and debug code independently. Comfort in more than one is a plus, but working ability in one is required.2-6 years of relevant experience, including undergraduate or graduate roles or internships, performing national security-related analytics; preference for research, quantitative analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization skillsExcellent professional demeanor with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone in a fast-paced environment without hesitationStrong aptitude for solving open-ended issues in unpredictable, unstructured environmentsOutstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple work-streams and projects, learn quickly, and work independently with little supervisionDesired Skills:Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorshipExperience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment1+ years of relevant experience in user support or user engagement with a focus on platform and product utilizationKnowledge of defense acquisition life cycle and program management, technology scouting, and supply chain risk managementKnowledge of languages/applications, such as React, Typescript, Java, C, GoLang, or the ability to quickly learn these skillsExperience within advisory services, software-as-a-service (SaaS), information services, analytic tools, or data analytics industriesDemonstrated ability to conduct relevant business case studies and market analysis using internal and open-source data sourcesHistory of engaging with and presenting to federal Government stakeholdersWe firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance.
