Maintenance Planner

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support a high‑performance manufacturing site producing Corian® solid surface products and Tedlar® polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) films. Key Responsibilities Review maintenance work requests to ensure scope, priority, and authorization are clear and achievable. Conduct field walk‑downs to validate job scope, safety requirements, access constraints, and execution readiness. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability to clarify equipment issues and desired outcomes. Develop detailed job plans including task steps, sequence, labor skills, duration estimates, tools, safety requirements, and execution notes. Create complete work packages with drawings, procedures, vendor documentation, permits, and special instructions as needed. Ensure job plans support safe, efficient, and repeatable maintenance execution. Identify required parts, materials, consumables, tools, and outside services; input into procurement so they are available before work is scheduled. Maintain a backlog of well‑planned maintenance work ready for scheduling; align planned work with production requirements and resource availability. Support weekly scheduling, shutdown, and outage planning activities. Review completed work for accuracy of labor, material usage, and job scope; facilitate return of unused materials and capture execution feedback. Update job plans, task lists, and documentation based on lessons learned. Support maintenance task information, equipment records, bills of material, and preventive maintenance plans; identify documentation gaps and initiate updates. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or process environment supporting maintenance activities. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices; exposure to controls or instrumentation planning is a plus. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and estimate maintenance work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments. Proficiency with computer‑based maintenance management systems, SAP Plant Maintenance preferred, and standard office software. Strong safety awareness and ability to incorporate safety requirements into job planning. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Technician, or Reliability Technician. Experience planning work in a continuous or batch manufacturing environment. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs. Experience coordinating and supporting shutdowns or major maintenance events. Familiarity with preventive maintenance optimization and reliability improvement practices. Work Environment Combination of office‑based planning and field presence in an active industrial manufacturing environment. Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and accessing production areas. Willing and able to support after‑hours or weekend support during outages or critical events.
