Construction Project Director - Life Science

An established, employee-owned commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Director with a strong background in Life Sciences construction . This role is designed for a relationship-driven leader who can bring existing client connections and help expand the firm's growing Life Sciences portfolio.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a large-scale, high-profile Life Sciences project locally while helping to drive long-term sector growth. This is a high-impact opportunity with a clear path toward leadership within the Life Sciences division.

Current Project Assignment:

• Immediate involvement in a $140M+ Life Sciences project with a repeat client in the Lancaster, PA region.
• Opportunity to take on a visible leadership role on a flagship project while helping shape future pursuits in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex Life Sciences construction projects.
• Serve as the primary client interface, building and maintaining long-term relationships.
• Leverage existing industry connections to support business development and secure new opportunities.
• Oversee project financials, scheduling, risk management, and quality control.
• Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Mentor and develop project management staff.
• Contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the Life Sciences sector.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or highly technical facilities.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex projects ($50M+ preferred).
• Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development.
• Existing network within the Life Sciences or advanced manufacturing sectors strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
