Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with critical month-end and year-end financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across departments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

As a key member of the accounting team, the Temporary Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and vendor communications while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with company policies.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Analyze financial information and support the preparation of financial reports.
• Communicate directly with vendors regarding invoices, payment inquiries, and account discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with audits and special projects assigned by management.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.
• Solid understanding of:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience interacting professionally with vendors and external business partners.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ERP or accounting software systems is a plus.
