Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

Facility in Quincy, IL seeking CT Surgery locums coverage Rates: $4500/24 hours Opportunity Highlights Part-Time Schedule: Coverage is needed for 1-2 weekends per month (approximately 2 shifts per month). Call Block: Shifts run from Friday 10 AM to Monday 5 AM. Scope of Practice: Primarily managing CABG cases and/or performing CABG if needed, responding to emergent cases, and rounding. The facility receives cardiology referrals. Solo Practice: You will work solo while on call and are required to respond within 30 minutes. Manageable Volume: The daily average census is 7 patients. You can expect an average of 3 calls per weekend (unless a patient's condition changes) and approximately 3 admissions while on call. EMR: The facility uses EPIC for all charting. Key Responsibilities Provide 24/7 call coverage from Friday morning to Monday morning. Perform AM rounding and rounding as needed for post-surgical patients (primarily adult CABG cases). Respond to emergent cases that present during the weekend block. Handle cardiology referrals and manage the daily census of 7 post-surgical patients. Provider Requirements Education: MD or DO. Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible is required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience is required. Licensure: An active Illinois State License is REQUIRED. IMLC will not be considered. Certifications: Active DEA and CSR licenses are required. Start Date The target start date is April 6, 2026. Privileging is estimated to take 60 days.
