Controls Electrician / Panel Builder

A growing company serving the automotive manufacturing industry is seeking a Controls Electrician / Panel Builder to join its engineering team. This hands-on role is responsible for building, wiring, testing, and commissioning industrial control panels and material handling systems. Approximately up to 35% of travel is required for project support.

Key Responsibilities

Read electrical schematics and build/wire industrial control panels.
Assemble PLC control panels, power supplies, motor control circuits, and safety circuits.
Perform secondary wiring for conveyors and automated machine cells.
Debug and troubleshoot electrical equipment after fabrication.
Maintain an organized and efficient panel shop.
Support commissioning and startup activities at customer sites.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience with electrical panel assembly, wiring, and industrial controls.
Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
Willingness to travel up to 35% (project-dependent).
