Faculty Consult Liaison Psychiatrist in Tyler, Texas

UT Tyler Health Science Center is searching for a  Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join the UT Health’s Behavioral Health team in Faculty Consult Liaison role.

About the Position:

• Monday dedicated to the Subacute Residential Psychiatric Unit; Tuesday–Friday focused on the Inpatient Consult-Liaison Service
• Faculty appointment with opportunities to teach psychiatry residents and medical students
• Work alongside two psychiatry residents
• Provide inpatient psychiatric consultations in the Emergency Department and on the general medical floors
• Treat a diverse acute behavioral health population, including patients with substance use disorders and psychotic disorders
• Occasional short-term coverage in other clinical areas as needed
• Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship preferred, but not required
