Quality Assurance Engineering Technician

Quality Assurance Engineering Technician Location: Oxford, North Carolina This onsite role requires full-time presence at the Oxford, North Carolina office. The QA S&C Engineering Technician will assist the Manager of QA S&C and interface with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and R&D to drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, and products. Responsibilities Trend and confirm implementation of the site’s quality systems, including change control, non‑conformance, root cause, and CAPA review; support site management reviews. Monitor quality system trends and bring systems needing corrective action to upper management; ensure implementation and confirm effectiveness. Review procedures and regulations to align with current facility practices; recommend continuous improvement training as needed. Review and align metrics with regulatory guidance and practice; confirm metrics support quality and R&D goals. Support the Manager with reporting on internal audits; track improvement plans and identify lagging activity. Support equipment qualification activities and document tracking; knowledge of FDA guidance and QC testing methodologies. Coordinate shipping of new item samples to external support groups. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards such as 21 CFR 210, 211, 820, ISO 27716, ISO 13485, and other global quality assurance programs. Provide problem‑solving skills and expertise to drive solutions; handle multiple projects simultaneously. Prepare and convey data analysis to managers and stakeholders with clarity and accuracy. Operate independently on routine tasks, making decisions in consultation with management. Qualifications 3‑5 years of industry experience in quality and manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with SharePoint and general SAP knowledge. Hands‑on laboratory experience in microbiology, analytical testing, GMP/GLP or GXP, and CFR requirements. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to engage all organizational levels. Self‑directed and confident in decision making. Education Associate’s degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field. Or high school diploma with 5 years of quality and manufacturing experience. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year, with additional short‑term incentives possible.
