Production Planner

Production PlannerThe Production Planner acts as the central point of contact for all responsibilities related to production planning and scheduling products for Stulz. The Production Planner will report directly to the Senior Director Manufacturing Operations and be responsible for the production planning process. The role will maintain the master schedule, troubleshoots technical issues, collaborates with cross functional team members, and reports department KPIs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare work orders for production of parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirementsPerforms shop order release/closure in the MRP System and reconciles partsDevelop and monitors production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilizationPerform rough-cut and validate capacity planningProvide detailed status of work in progress, and material availability, and communicate constraints to scheduleCoordinate with cross functional team members including warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics, minimizing production disruptionsUtilize daily production compliance reports for managing daily workloads and communicating manufacturing statusGenerate and maintain accurate production reports, including progress, delays, and performance metricsQualifications:Demonstrates good organizational and multitasking abilities, works well with others and ability to think outside the boxMUST have SAP experienceEffective communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrates understanding and can apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and KaizenThis is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skillsThis position will directly impact on the whole plant's schedule and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention to non-stockout material and on time deliveriesWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to qualityEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field preferred3+ years production/planning/scheduling work experience in a manufacturing supply chainManufacturing Planning experience with high-customization, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing, make to order environmentStrong analytical and decision-making abilityAbility to manage multiple projects and tasksSound understanding of MRP functional flows and requirement generationsExperience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)Experience with activities related to planning and/or schedulingExperience working with a cross-functional teamComputer experience required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Trello. Must have expert/advance excel experience including Excel Macro preferredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:APICS CPIM certification preferredMaterial and Inventory Management Language Skills:Ability to read and understand English instructionsMathematical Skills:Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division Descriptive StatisticsUnit of MeasureWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an office environment in a manufacturing plant. Employee will at times be required to work with supervisor/managers on the production floor to understand material/supply needs
