Role Description The Interventional Radiology Technologist role is a full-time, on-site position located in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for preparing patients and procedure rooms for interventional radiology and vascular access procedures, including verifying patient identity, reviewing procedure orders, and positioning patients safely and comfortably. The technologist operates radiologic imaging equipment, assists the physician during procedures by managing imaging sequences, and ensures accurate image capture and documentation. Daily tasks include maintaining radiation safety standards, monitoring equipment functionality, stocking supplies, managing inventory, and supporting sterile technique. The role also involves collaborating with nurses and physicians, providing clear communication to patients about procedures, and accurately documenting imaging and procedural data in the medical record. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Radiologic Technology, including operation of interventional imaging equipment and adherence to imaging protocols. Current registration or eligibility for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with a focus on radiography and/or interventional radiology. Strong understanding of radiation safety principles, including dose optimization, shielding, and compliance with regulatory standards. Knowledge of Medicine and Radiology as they relate to vascular access, interventional procedures, and dialysis patient care. Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program; associate degree or higher in radiologic science or related field preferred. Current state licensure as required by Indiana regulations, and current BLS certification. Ability to work collaboratively in a procedural team environment, with strong communication and patient interaction skills.
