Travel Registered Nurse - ICU/Stepdown

Location: Plano, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, Rotating Weekends

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Travel Registered Nurse specializing in ICU/Stepdown to join our team. The candidate will provide critical care to patients who are transitioning from intensive care to a telemetry unit. This role requires a dedicated professional skilled in managing complex patient needs and collaborating with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions in the ICU/Stepdown setting.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the Meditech system.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and healthcare options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.
• At least 2 years of specialty experience in ICU/Stepdown.
• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• MEDITECH experience preferred.
• Telemetry/PCU/Stepdown experience preferred.
