Travel Registered Nurse - ICU/Stepdown
Location: Plano, TX
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, Rotating Weekends
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Travel Registered Nurse specializing in ICU/Stepdown to join our team. The candidate will provide critical care to patients who are transitioning from intensive care to a telemetry unit. This role requires a dedicated professional skilled in managing complex patient needs and collaborating with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions in the ICU/Stepdown setting.
- Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Meditech system.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and healthcare options.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.
- At least 2 years of specialty experience in ICU/Stepdown.
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- MEDITECH experience preferred.
- Telemetry/PCU/Stepdown experience preferred.
