Role Description The Import Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Carolina, Puerto Rico. This position is responsible for coordinating import shipments, ensuring all documentation and customs requirements are met, and tracking cargo from origin to destination. Daily tasks include communicating with customers, carriers, and customs brokers, preparing and reviewing import documentation, and monitoring shipment status to ensure timely delivery. The Import Coordinator will also resolve shipment issues, maintain accurate records in company systems, and support compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures. The role involves close collaboration with the customer service and operations teams to provide efficient, professional, and responsive service. Qualifications Strong knowledge of import processes and activities, including Import coordination and related documentation. Experience with Customs Brokerage and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for international shipments. Familiarity with Ocean freight operations, including booking, tracking, and coordinating ocean cargo movements. Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, carriers, and internal teams. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines. Proficiency with common office software and logistics or shipment-tracking systems. Ability to work on-site full time in Carolina, Puerto Rico, and collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
