Be able to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical problems and have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategiesIdentify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in the form of a requisition in order that spares or replacements can be orderedInstall equipment and test runDevelop and maintain store room spare parts inventory and establish a withdraw, return and re-order procedureGeneral working knowledge of machine shop equipmentMust be team-oriented with leadership qualities and capable of leading co-workers in assigned tasksWill be expected to maintain necessary records and established maintenance proceduresMaintain a clean, safe working environmentAssist with tooling setup and maintenance when neededResponsible for additional specific duties related to each shift as assigned by Shift Team LeaderOther duties as necessaryTECHNICAL COMPETENCIESAdministrative: Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systemsCommunication/Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a cross-functional team. Demonstrates ability to utilize standard hand tools. Ability to operate basic machine shop equipmentMaintenance/Repair: Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities. Demonstrates the ability to perform electrical trouble shooting, repair and equipment installation. Demonstrate the ability to use electrical meters to include multimeter and amp meterQualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Three to five years of experience in a related field and a mechanical pretest to employmentHigh school graduate requiredCompletion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses desiredMust be able to read and use precision type instruments such as micrometers and calipersSpeaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetingsADA – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to:Work 12 hour shift, standing and walking for extended periodsClimbHeed safety warnings, devices and alarmsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingLift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
