**Join Our Dynamic Team as an ICU Nurse!** **Job Description:** - Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse eager to make a significant impact in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)? - Bring your expertise and compassionate care to our team while providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop tailored care plans. - Deliver direct patient care while promoting optimal health outcomes for individuals across their lifespan. - Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families, enhancing health literacy and facilitating successful care transitions. - Direct and supervise skilled practical nurses, nursing assistants, and ancillary personnel. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. - Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and a multidisciplinary care team. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. - Be adaptable and float to other departments as necessary, equipped with the required orientation and training. - Embrace additional responsibilities to support hospital operations and meet patient needs. **Physical, Environmental & Psychological Considerations:** - Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, infectious diseases, and biohazardous materials. - Work primarily in a temperature-controlled hospital setting with occasional exposure to varied sounds, odors, and emotionally challenging situations. - Must be physically able to lift, position, and transfer patients with proper techniques and assistive equipment. - Thrive in high-stress situations while maintaining calmness during emergencies. - Exemplify strong problem-solving and coping abilities. - Be adaptable, resilient, and a team player in dynamic clinical scenarios. **Department-Specific Qualifications:** - Current BLS and ACLS certification required. - PALS and NRP must be obtained within 12 months of hire. - Ability to interpret EKGs and provide care for critically ill patients. - Relevant education or experience in critical care is preferred. **General Qualifications:** - Hold a current New Mexico RN license or an active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license. - Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent). - An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. - Education and clinical experience that equip you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. - Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills. - Deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients of all ages (pediatric through geriatric). - Show commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrate a dedication to professional growth and lifelong learning. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
