Outpatient Occupational TherapistLocation: Mount Dora, FL 32757Waterman Village Senior Living Community

Waterman Village is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Outpatient Therapy team. This is a great opportunity to work within a well-established senior living community and make a meaningful difference in the independence, safety, and quality of life of older adults.

Position Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat outpatient therapy patients based on individualized needs and physician orders.
• Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans focused on improving independence and quality of life.
• Provide treatment for conditions including upper-extremity limitations, hand rehabilitation, urinary incontinence, pain, weakness, decreased mobility, balance concerns, and functional decline.
• Provide education on adaptive equipment, home safety, energy conservation, fall prevention, and strategies to improve activities of daily living.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in accordance with Medicare, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with PT, ST, nursing, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in community wellness initiatives, educational programs, and opportunities to promote therapy services to Waterman Village residents.
• Maintain excellent communication and customer service with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Florida Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience working with the geriatric population preferred.
• Outpatient or senior living experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative therapy team.
