Business Development Director, PPG Payer

IQVIA seeks an experienced business development director to drive sales of data solutions and strategic services to regional and national healthcare payers. This individual contributor role requires expertise in complex healthcare sales, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify and close new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Prospect, qualify, and generate new sales through virtual and in-person outreach to regional and national health plans
Sell data solutions and strategic services to Data & Analytics, Technology, and Business leadership within health plans
Develop and expand account relationships through proactive account management plans and service adoption
Build and maintain sales pipeline generating 3-4x quarterly target to achieve $1.5M-$2M annual quota
Manage sales cycle activities including opportunity qualification, client meetings, proposal development, and contract negotiation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
10+ years selling in complex healthcare payer environments
Demonstrated success selling data, analytics, and technology solutions to health plans at C-suite level
Understanding of health plan business processes, data capabilities, analytics, pharmacy management, and population health
Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with drive to pursue leads and approach customers strategically
Knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics and technology trends
