Construction Testing Technician

Location: Buffalo, New York (Onsite)

Length: 3 month contract to hire

Role Overview

We are seeking a candidate for a Construction-related Testing Technician position. This role involves conducting full-scale physical property testing, including acoustic, structural, and fire tests. The technician will be responsible for preparing and building assemblies for testing, such as walls and ceilings, and executing the tests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare assemblies for fire testing, such as walls and ceilings.
• Execute full-scale physical property tests, including fire, acoustic, and structural tests.
• Utilize construction or carpentry practices to build test assemblies.
• Manage the testing process for large-scale structures, such as 10x10 ft. or 20x20 ft. walls and 14x14 ft. ceilings.

Required Qualifications

Education: An Associate's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience: Candidates should have a background in construction and an ability to learn testing procedures, or possess an educational background in engineering with the ability to learn construction practices. We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn.
