Banquet Captain

Hotel: Greenville Embassy Suites, 670 Verdae Blvd, Greenville, SC 29607 Full‑time. Compensation range: $18.00–$18.50 per hour. Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Job Description What You Will Do: Lead the setup and breakdown of banquet events with precision—clean linens, polished silverware, and chip‑free china only. Coordinate the flow of service, ensuring meals are served smoothly and on time. Guide and motivate the banquet team to deliver top‑notch guest experiences, from coffee breaks to full‑service dinners. Handle audio‑visual setup and troubleshooting. Assist with scheduling, training, and inventory to keep the operation running like clockwork. What We Are Looking For: Customer service experience—happy guests are the heart of hospitality. At least 6 months of banquet food service experience, preferably with plated dinner service. Leadership potential or experience—ready to guide a team and step in as needed. Food and alcohol certifications (or willingness to complete within 90 days). Physical stamina—able to lift, bend, walk, and stand throughout the shift.
