Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Audiologist to join our organization, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits assessment process. In this position, you will examine the Veteran's medical history, which is securely uploaded to a digital portal, prior to administering a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following these assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to assess the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
  • Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
  • Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This position does not include prescribing medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) , not by the audiologist.

Position Details:
  • Schedule: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
  • Location: In-person role.
  • Caseload: Average of 3-6 Veterans per day.
  • Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.

Requirements:
  • Possesses an Au.D. and has graduated from an ASHA Accredited Institution .
  • Holds a valid license as an Audiologist.
  • Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation.
