Insurance Defense Attorney | Charleston, SC (Hybrid) | $120,000 to $210,000

An adjuster with a full pending list wants one thing from defense counsel. Never being surprised.

I'm recruiting for an established insurance defense firm in Charleston. Carriers have trusted these partners with their files for years. Here's what that means for you:

• The panel work is already there. You don't need a book. You don't need to chase referrals. The carriers are sending files now.

• You'll know the adjusters by name. Your calls, your reports, early on. That's how an associate starts to become someone a carrier asks for.

What the carriers send

• Auto, premises, slip and fall and construction accident claims

• Professional liability, including malpractice and E&O for insured professionals

• Construction disputes between contractors, subcontractors, architects and owners

How you'll handle them

• Your own files, from first report to resolution or trial

• Clear, timely reporting to adjusters and insureds

• Pleadings, motions and discovery

• Depositions, mediations and court appearances, with partners in your corner

• The firm is hiring at two levels.
\n
• Associates with 2+ years of defense experience start toward $120,000.
\n
• Senior associates who run a docket and the carrier relationship on their own sit toward $210,000.
\n

You'll bring

\n
• 2+ years of defense experience in any of the areas above. Nobody expects all seven.

• South Carolina bar admission
\n
• Writing an adjuster can read in two minutes and act on

• A docket you manage without being chased
