Laboratory Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor to prepare and route biological specimens for testing in a Durham, North Carolina facility. The role involves unpacking, labeling, and shipping specimens while maintaining accurate records and meeting production standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing procedures
- Unpack specimens and route them to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, and pack specimens for shipment
- Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely
- Document and resolve problem specimens according to protocols
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens safely
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Physical capability to meet job demands
