Candidates with 1 year of experience and a strong understanding of high acuity and complex patient care are encouraged to apply. First-time travelers are also welcome.Patient Types\n \n Post-operative Cardiac and General Cardiovascular patients\n Post-operative Orthopedic/Joint procedure patients\n Trauma patients\n Post-stroke patients\n Required Certifications\n \n Basic Life Support (BLS)\n Current Alabama Occupational Therapy license\n Skills Required\n \n Efficiency and flexibility in a fast-paced environment\n Strong teamwork and collaboration skills\n Ability to evaluate, treat, and independently manage a caseload\n Experience and willingness to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)\n Experience working with students in a teaching facility preferred\n Support on the Unit\n \n Supervisor available on-site\n Manager support\n Other therapists present, typically 6 OTs on shift\n Multidisciplinary team collaboration\n Charting System & Equipment\n The charting system used is Cerner, but prior experience is not required.Floating\n No floating between facilities is required.Orientation\n \n Day 1: General hospital orientation and learning modules\n Day 2: Departmental training and Cerner refresher\n Typically, 1 week of orientation prior to taking on a caseload\n Scheduling\n \n Hours are generally from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, subject to department needs\n The department does not support 10-hour shifts\n Weekend rotation may be required, depending on department needs\n Holiday work may be necessary; time off requests for holidays should be made in advance\n Additional Details\n \n Scrub Color: Any professional color, with matching top and bottom required\n Parking: Free parking available on-site\n \n \n Thrive Staffing Job ID #19158710.
