About the Role Senior Oncology Specialist In this vital role you will act as the liaison to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals. Responsibilities Act as the primary customer contact to provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals. Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales. Analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with District Manager. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain continuous curiosity and learning. Leverage industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related. Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related. High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related. Preferred: Experience in oncology. Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries. Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases. Local market knowledge. A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal and external relationships.
