Quality CMM Operator Position - 3rd Shift (10PM-6AM)

Quality CMM OperatorThe Quality CMM Operator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of automotive components through advanced measurement and inspection processes. This role utilizes Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), FARO Arm technology, laser scanning equipment, and various inspection gauges to verify products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The position plays a critical role in supporting new product launches, PPAP activities, root cause analysis, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.Duties & Responsibilities:Determine part inspection requirements from customer's blueprint featuresEnsure the part-inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision levelOperate computer programming hardware and software systemsAnalyze and troubleshoot fixed-type machine set-ups and inspections pathsOperate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect automotive partsFARO Arm setup and laser scanningUtilize ERP software to input and analyze measurement dataPerform inspections using various measurement gaugesCollaborate with team members to address quality concerns and implement corrective actionsCommunicate inspection results and quality issues to relevant departmentsFollow PPAP process guidelines for new product launchesConduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issuesMaintain status of key program deliverables from award through PPAP reviewing weekly the status with theOther duties and/or responsibilities as assignedRequirements:Mechanical Troubleshooting SkillsPPAP Process ExperienceExcellent Communication SkillsShop Math SkillsComputer SkillsHigh School / GEDRoot Cause AnalysisExperience with PolyworksDemonstrated organizational and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated job diligence, attention to details and solid problem-solving skillsIAC Perks:401(k)Health, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid time offCompany eventsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Looking for a next-level career?
