Manufacturing Engineer

Design Engineer

Location: Gloucester, MA Onsite/ Remote: Onsite

Provides product and process DFM (Design for Manufacturing) input to Product Engineering to enhance manufacturability and product cost for any of structures, electrical, and/or electric machines

Assist with the definition and design of manufacturing processes

Provide requirements for tooling and process capabilities and interfaces

Develop build plan requirements and author first generation of work instructions

Develop and model 3D factory Digital Twin

Work with automated manufacturing equipment, PLC controls, robotics, and vision inspection systems

Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and tooling

Support driving efforts for continuous improvements by identifying ways to improve quality, throughput, and reduce cost per unit
