Registered Nurse (RN) - ICUThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, and plays a crucial role in providing care to patients in the ICU setting.ResponsibilitiesPerform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.Identify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient through collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.Accountable for accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and assure direct patient care using the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety.Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.Participate in team-building activities to create a positive work environment.Assume charge responsibility after the orientation period as assigned.Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureBLS Certification required prior to first shift.ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only).Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience preferred.ICU experience is required.ScheduleThis is a Day 3x12.0 shift position, including every other weekend and holiday.Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
