Job Title: Crate Builder/Material Handler

Job Description

The material handler will work in the shop and be responsible for handling large parts, recording inventory, and managing the packing and preparation for shipping.

Responsibilities

• Build crates and pack products based on daily orders in a timely manner.
• Locate products using inventory technology.
• Operate various pieces of equipment such as saws, palletizer, dolly loader, pallet wrapper, forklift, and electric pallet jacks.
• Retrieve orders according to quantity, size, ensuring accuracy.
• Wrap orders before loading them onto trucks.
• Restock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.
• Keep records of completed orders.
• Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in inventory management and material handling.
• Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts.
• Warehouse experience.
• Mechanical inclination to use power and hand tools for crating products.
• Basic computer skills for shipping and receiving tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years minimum experience in shipping/material handling within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing is desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with operations.

Work Environment

Day shift Monday-Friday from 7am to 4pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
