Executive Liaison

The Miami Valley School (MVS) is seeking an Executive Liaison to support administrative operations and leadership priorities. The Executive Liaison will be a strategic partner to the Head of School and Chair of the Board of Trustees, focusing on supporting the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and facilitating opportunities for constituents to enjoy membership in the MVS community. The role involves supporting the organizational goals, enhancing the school culture and image, and aligning with the strategic plan.

The Opportunity: MVS is known for its academic and extracurricular programming, and the Executive Liaison will help grow with students as leaders of Global Citizenship and stewards of civil discourse. The role also involves supporting the overall wellness of the community, collaborating with students and families, and working alongside a world-class team of dedicated faculty and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support for the Head of School and Board Chair
• Build and implement systems and processes to improve operational efficiency
• Complete special projects for the Head of School in support of institutional priorities
• Serve as a member of the Leadership Team and support meeting and retreat preparations
• Manage the internal and external Major Dates Calendar
• Support the Head of School and the Board Chair in the organization, creation, and execution of the School's Strategic Plan
• Create a board dashboard and serve as the main point of contact for Strategic Plan initiatives
• Assist with tracking expenses in the Head of School and Board of Trustees budgets
• Serve as administrative liaison for the ODE, OAIS, NAIS, and ISACS
• Serve and support as a member of the Crisis Management Team
• Support the Board Chair with administrative duties, including meeting preparations and record-keeping
• Partner with the Governance Chair to support Governance Committee activities and Board succession planning
• Assist with new Trustee orientation and create and manage Board meeting calendars
• Support Board Committees in organizing, executing, and documenting their committee meetings
• Manage front desk duties, including phone lines, visitor management, and financial transactions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated creative planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under stress and to exhibit good judgment
• Reliable and trustworthy with experience in maintaining confidentiality
• Strong technology skills, including Google Suite, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
