Position Overview Cooperative Building Solutions (CBS) internship program is designed to give students exposure to the full life cycle of construction projects and the office environment. Interns will get to work with all departments across the organization to give them a full view of life at CBS. Supporting project teams with general contract administration Assist with scheduling, work planning, and sequencing Coordinating material and equipment procurement and delivery Supporting shop drawing and submittal review, tracking, and document control Assist with mechanical, electrical, and piping system coordination Participate in documenting project coordination meetings Support cost tracking, change management, and billing Assist with project closeout process Perform quantity takeoff from bid documents Review subcontractor bids for scope completeness Contact subcontractors to solicit interest in participating in bid efforts Monitor quality control efforts Participate in jobsite safety walks and inspections Research and recommend construction means, methods, and equipment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field GPA of 3.0 or above Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and an eagerness to learn Willingness to commute and/or relocate for the duration of the internship Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
