Group: Civil/Site Position: Project Engineer Location: Cleveland, OH (on site) We are seeking a talented and self‑motivated Project Engineer to join our Civil Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of site development and municipal infrastructure projects across multiple market sectors. As a Project Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of complex civil engineering projects while collaborating across disciplines and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final site design plans for commercial, institutional, and public projects. Develop grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs using applicable local and state standards. Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications. Coordinate project design activities with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and clients. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater conveyance and detention systems. Develop erosion control and regulatory compliance plans in accordance with IDEM and municipal requirements. Mentor and assist junior engineers and CAD designers, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to standards. Provide technical support during permitting and construction administration phases. Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and review agencies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE required). Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, but not required Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in civil/site design or municipal infrastructure. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software. Knowledge of IDEM, DOT, and local stormwater and utility standards. Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
