Acquire a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu, including ingredient details and preparation methods. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of orders. Manage multiple orders simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet service deadlines without compromising food quality. Maintain open communication with kitchen staff, servers, and management to relay order details, special requests, and inventory needs. Collaborate effectively with team members to create a positive and productive work environment. Conduct regular taste tests to ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for flavor, seasoning, and presentation. Report any inconsistencies or quality issues to the chef or kitchen supervisor. Follow sanitation procedures and guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Skills Previous experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant setting. Knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and knife skills.
