Junior Accountant

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established industrial organization in the Kansas City area to hire a Junior Accountant. This is a direct hire, full time opportunity with benefits. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who enjoys a combination of traditional accounting responsibilities, inventory control, reporting, and day-to-day operational support. The position will work closely with branch leadership and receive hands‑on training from experienced team members. What You’ll Do Support general ledger activity and maintain accurate financial records Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Assist with invoicing, receipts, bank statements, and account reconciliations Help prepare financial reports and maintain supporting documentation Assist with payroll and other confidential accounting information Monitor inventory movement and help reconcile physical inventory against system records Support the implementation of updated inventory and barcode processes Assist with order entry, pricing updates, and customer order confirmations as needed Create and maintain reports using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools Provide general accounting and administrative support to the branch What We’re Looking For 3‑5 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience Understanding of standard accounting procedures and general ledger activity Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including spreadsheets and pivot tables Experience with inventory accounting or a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment is a plus Ability to learn new accounting and operational systems Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Comfortable supporting multiple departments and shifting priorities Dependable, team‑oriented, and interested in a stable, long‑term opportunity Schedule and Compensation Full‑time, onsite position Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Hourly compensation with overtime and profit‑sharing potential $70,000-$75,000k This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad accounting and operational experience while joining a stable, close‑knit team with a long history in the Kansas City market.
