Job Details:

Position: ECMO (ICU (adult + pediatric)) Specialist (RN) $$SN$$
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Shift: Nights – 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Duties:

• Manage ECMO devices for critically ill adult and pediatric patients requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support.
• Monitor and operate Cardiohelp ECMO consoles, Centrimag ECMO consoles, and Cardio Quip heater-cooler units.
• Assist with bedside ECMO cannulation procedures and cannula repositioning.
• Collaborate closely with ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and provider teams to deliver ECMO care.
• Follow ECMO order sets and provide specialized device management in critical care settings.
• Care for patients with post-cardiac surgery complications, cardiogenic shock, ARDS, respiratory failure, traumatic injuries, sepsis, and other acute critical illnesses.
• Perform point-of-care testing using glucometers and monitor patient response to ECMO therapy.
• Float between CVICU and PICU units as required.

Requirements

• Active South Carolina RN License required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• ECMO Specialist experience required.
• Completion of ECMO specialty device course and required continuing education to maintain proficiency.
• Adult and Pediatric ECMO experience required.
• ICU experience required.
• Minimum one year of Epic charting experience required.
• Ability to work with both adult and pediatric critical care populations.

• Facility: Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (subject to unit needs).
• Float Requirement: CVICU and PICU.
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required.
• Flu Vaccine: Required (No Exemptions).
