Corporate CounselThe Corporate Counsel assists leaders on the Legal and Vendor Relations teams by performing a variety of legal and procurement related duties, with a primary focus on reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts.This position requires 100% on-site attendance in our Pontiac office.What You Will Be DoingDrafting, reviewing and negotiating vendor and other company contractsPerforming vendor risk management and due diligence functionsIdentifying expiring contracts, managing contract reporting, and preparing amendments and termination lettersDrafting written correspondence with outside counsel, vendors, and other third-partiesEnsuring compliance with company policies and proceduresEditing legal documents for accuracyProviding support and assistance to members of the Vendor Relations teamOther duties as assignedWhat We Need From YouMust Have Qualifications:Bachelor's and Law DegreeAdmission to the Michigan Bar with at least two (2) years of relevant job experienceExperience reviewing and negotiating vendor and other contractsExperience in the contracting and procurement processHave a commitment to continuous business improvementPrevious in-house legal experience is a plusBe capable of working closely with internal clients and outside counselHave effective planning, organizational and project management skillsBe able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectivelyHave a high level of attention to detail and accuracyHave excellent written and communication skillsHave the ability to work independentlyHave critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skillsBe self-motivated and able to work well in a team based environmentThe Place & The PerksReady to join thousands of talented team members who are making the dream of home ownership possible for more Americans?
