Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips to titrate to HR n BP - Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for Level 1 Trauma Hospital - IV insertion and care, central line management - Wound care and post op monitoring - Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation - Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams - Discharge planning and patient education

Required Credentials: - BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) required. - ASN / BSN

Unit Details: - Patient population includes acute and chronic disease, post-op surgical patients, and common med-surg comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, CHF, and electrolyte imbalances. - Support/resources include CNAs, a unit secretary, central telemetry monitoring, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7. Most units are lab-collect phlebotomy; nurses draw from CVLs. No IV/VAT team. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, VS3 vital sign monitors, Nova Glucose Stat Strips, portable vital sign monitors (Dynamapp), bladder scanners, portable oxygen systems, PCA pain management, and suction machines. - Free parking

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend rotation: 6 shifts on a 6-week schedule (6 out of 12 shifts). - No call. - Holiday requirement: work one shift of each major holiday group (Thanksgiving Day or the day after; 12/24 or 12/25; 12/31 or 1/1). - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: - RTO requests require manager approval.

Floating Requirements: - Floats to all adult med-surg/telemetry units in house, including SNU and ER for med-surg holds.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse) or the alternative certification RN-BC
