You will work on a team of hard-working problem solvers, bringing solutions to sophisticated business challenges. Dealing effectively with ambiguity, balancing big picture thinking with attention to detail, and anticipating your business partners' needs are keys to success!Responsibilities/Expectations:Manages and leads financial modeling and valuation in the evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, major capital projects and commercial contracting with the goal of proposing innovative solutions and structures to improve valueSupports the entirety of the merger and acquisition, capital investment, and commercial negotiation process including strategy, opportunity identification, due diligence, deal structuring, execution, and integrationAssists in formal deal due diligence by reviewing and analyzing company and investment informationAssesses the competitive landscape, trends, strategic fit, sources of commonalities and potential risks of an investmentPresents recommendations and proposals to senior leadership and external parties related to prospective transactions and investmentsConducts research and analysis regarding new growth opportunitiesMentors, trains, and develops other team members with a focus on promoting team culture and creating an atmosphere of teamwork and trustOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:Sr:​Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field and minimum eight (8) years’ related experiencePreferred: Master's degree and minimum ten (10) years' experiencePreferred: Experience in energy industryPreferred: Experience leading economic valuation modeling for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital projectsIII:Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field and minimum six (6) years’ related experiencePreferred: Master's degree and minimum eight (8) years' related experiencePreferred: Experience in energy industryPreferred: Experience leading economic valuation modeling for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital projectsII:Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field and minimum three (3) years’ related experiencePreferred: Master's degree and minimum five (5) years' related experiencePreferred: Experience in energy industryPreferred: Experience leading economic valuation modeling for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital projectsOther Requirements:Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organizationProficient use of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to utilize Excel models for valuation, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and accretion/dilutionStrong finance skills with a solid understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and a statement of cash flowsGeneral understanding of the oil and natural gas industry#LI-KM2Why Houston?
