Tech - EMT/Paramedic

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide urgent emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department of a Level 2 trauma center. Assist in delivering high-quality patient services while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately in high-volume emergency settings.
• Administer emergency treatments and interventions per established protocols.
• Operate and interpret telemetry monitors and other medical equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities precisely using the Cerner system.
• Maintain flexibility to float within all ED sections and respond to departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of recent experience in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume ED.
• Possess valid EMT or Paramedic certification and relevant licensure.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading telemetry monitors and passing tele exams.
• Exhibit excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Be adaptable to shift schedules, including every other weekend and night shifts.
• Comply with hospital-specific certification requirements such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC.
