Overnight Veterinary Technician

Grady Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled part‑time Overnight Veterinary Technician to our team at the Rarebreed clinic. Grady Veterinary Hospital is a full‑service, 24‑hour emergency, specialty, and general practice hospital serving the Greater Cincinnati region. We are seeking a Part‑Time Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic GP and ER departments. Overnight Veterinary Technician Location: Grady Veterinary Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour (based on experience) Sign‑on bonus up to $2,500 and shift differentials available. Shift: 10‑hour shifts, rotating weekends; 7 p‑5 a, 8 p‑6 a or 9 p‑7 a on every other Saturday/Sunday and every Monday/Tuesday. What you’ll do Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones Perform triage and initial interventions with emergency patients Conduct basic examinations to assess stability Perform advanced nursing skills, including CPR, phlebotomy, cystocentesis, lab tests and various medication administration Administer and monitor sedated patients for minor procedures as well as advanced anesthetic skills for emergency surgery Assist DVM in scheduled GP appointments and walk‑in appointments Schedule: 8 / 10 / 12 hours for evening and night shifts Benefits 401(k) with a total company match up to 4% after 6 months of employment Flexible scheduling Continuing education allowance and professional development support Mental health resources Company‑paid bonding leave or applicable state‑provided bonding leave Perks for Your Pets Discounts on veterinary services and products Savings on reference lab testing Discounts on Purina pet foods Preferred rates with our pet insurance partner Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Veterinary Technician certification required (RVT) Minimum two years of prior veterinary hospital experience; surgical experience not mandatory but must be willing to train Positive attitude and team‑player mindset Employment will require successful completion of references and background check.
