Fifth Grade Teacher Position

Immediate Opening Gooding Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Fifth Grade Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students, promoting academic excellence, and supporting the social and emotional development of each child. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations.
• Provide individualized support and intervention for students who may be struggling academically or socially.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
• Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment that promotes respect and inclusivity.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed.
• Uphold the values and mission of Gooding Elementary School, contributing to a positive school culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
• Experience teaching fifth grade or a similar age group preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
