US Brick has a current vacancy to join our diverse and dynamic company as Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic . This role will report directly to the Director of Maintenance.

The Maintenance Mechanic must possess 1 to 3 years’ experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting.  Will be responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance (PM), and lubrication tasks on industrial equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.  This role focuses on identifying potential issues before failure, maintaining equipment condition, and supporting overall production uptime during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on machinery and equipment according to maintenance plans
• Perform routine inspections to identify wear, damage, misalignment, leaks or other abnormalities
• Execute lubrication tasks, including greasing bearings and components following established schedules and specifications
• Monitor equipment performance and report irregularities or potential failures to maintenance leadership
• Complete detailed maintenance records, logs, and checklists accurately and on time
• Assist in minor repairs and adjustments as needed during inspections or PM tasks
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, and plant policies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and maintenance tools
• Communicate effectively with incoming day shift and supervisors regarding equipment status and completed work

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required: technical or vocational training preferred
• Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or related field is a plus
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, bearing, lubrication practices, and preventative maintenance procedures
• Ability to use hand tools, lubrication equipment, and inspection instruments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willing to work overnight shifts, weekends and overtime as needed

Work is performed primarily in a standard manufacturing setting.

Production facilities are not climate controlled, and work is outdoors and indoors in all types of weather conditions and work environments.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for extended lengths of time, walk, sit for extended lengths of time (i.e. operating equipment), drive, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, grasp, hold, and manipulate tools; talk and hear. The employee is routinely required to climb (i.e. ladders and stairs) and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or stand on tip toes for extended lengths of time, and must routinely lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds alone. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus with or without ocular aids. The employee must be able to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions and near traffic with varying noise levels and with varying types of equipment and vehicles. The employee must have the ability to work around and tolerate heat and dust.

While performing the duties of this job the incumbent is regularly exposed to outside elements of wet and/or humid conditions, rain, and heat; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles. Requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather. The incumbent may occasionally work with electrical devices and be exposed to vibrations and steady level of loud noises.
