Details Heart & Vascular Institute unit supporting invasive cardiology and invasive radiology procedures Patient population includes those requiring peripheral vascular, venous, and neuro interventional procedures Procedures include peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes/access (G-tube, Chole, Neph, Biliary, Abscess, SPC), embolization (venous and arterial), venous thrombectomy, dialysis access work (AV fistulas, tunneled dialysis catheters, peritoneal dialysis catheters), and neuro procedures (cerebral arterial/venous, kyphoplasty) 4x10 day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Weekend and holiday coverage is call-only on a rotation basis Requirements Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required ARRT(R) certification required BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required IEMA Radiography License required if applicable Experience in a procedural radiologic technology setting preferred Interventional Neurology experience preferred Ability to maintain a sterile field and pull supplies during procedures Manual dexterity to handle small supplies Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Additional Information Administers contrast material via existing IV line or venipuncture as directed by physician, recognizing and responding to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions Assists physicians during all procedures and provides direct patient care including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality Checks patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position prior to procedures Compiles pertinent clinical information from lab and pathology reports Assists with inventory and supply management Accurately documents procedures and informs procedural nurse of medication doses, radiation exposure, and sponge/sharp counts May assist in training new staff as needed Performs on-call duties and works variable shifts to meet department needs American Traveler Job ID #P-757225.
