Contingent Registered Mammography TechnologistTogether Women's Health Imaging Center has an immediate opportunity for a Contingent Registered Mammography Technologist. Great benefits, salary based on experience.Some Saturday morning availability is needed.ResponsibilitiesA strong working knowledge of patient positioning/technical factorsGains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of imaging procedures, explaining equipment, and answering questionsThe ability to assess complex patient needsMaintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and proceduresPractice good clinical decision making and problem-solving skillsQualificationsGraduate of a school of Radiologic Technology, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsMammography certification requiredMust meet ARRT(R)(M) requirements for exam counts and CMETwo - Three years of mammography experience preferredFamiliarity with ACR/FDA accreditation practices and regulations requiredAbility to accurately position the patient for imaging according to ACR standardsUtilize techniques to physically manipulate and apply accessories to produce desired imagesAbility to select technical factors and operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic imagesMust have at least one year of experience with both screening and diagnostic mammographyUse of beam restricting devices, patient shielding, assessment and implementation of appropriate exposure factors to minimize radiation exposureBasic computer literacy and applications for data entry and records maintenanceAbility to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actionsMaintain BLS certificationStrong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams and patient interactions simultaneouslyExhibit behavior which emphasizes quality, loyalty, conscientiousness, and professionalismPhysical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 20lbs throughout the dayExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and team members in a professional and caring mannerWe are excited to hear your personal and professional career goals soon!Why Together Women's Health (TWH)?Because we do things a bit differently here.
