PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION

Perform duties to assist Supervisor to maintain the flow of work throughout Mill Products Division while also

operating assigned equipment. Manage and monitor the activities of others under the direction of the Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Model the right behavior in terms of initiative, compliance, moral character (honor, integrity and

2. Build team spirit, pride and camaraderie within team.

3. Promote safety, environmental responsibility and continuous quality improvement in accordance with

company policies.

4. Complies with all the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook.

5. Using production schedule, assist in the assignment of employees to a variety of production equipment and

material handling activities in Mill Products Division and assist in locating and arranging material to be

moved.

6. Train employees, monitor employee work activities, assist with unusual problems and take action as required

to meet planned schedules and maintain work quality standards.

7. Coordinate scheduled work activities with other Lead and Production department personnel to maintain

project work flow.

8. React according to training and policy to emergency situations, including personnel injuries, taking

headcounts during fire and tornado alarms.

9. Troubleshoot and diagnose unusual equipment, material and tooling problems and take necessary corrective

action.

10. Assist with utilizing performance based management tools to improve the standard of performance and

development of the team members.

11. Maintain safe working practices and good housekeeping conditions in the department.

12. Keep Supervisor informed of unusual problems.

13. Use the Kanban Card system to request replenishment of supplies as needed.

14. Follow up with Maintenance department on equipment needing repair.

15. Must be able to perform all the essential duties described in the Multi-Machine Operator I, II & III job

descriptions.

16. Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned
