Staff Accountant for Healthcare Company

DescriptionPosition at BayMark Health ServicesFull Time – Staff Accountant Healthcare Reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant for BayMark Services, Inc. is responsible for certain accounting and compliance functions for the company. This person will be responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of all accounting functions. Travel as necessary.Responsibilities: Prepare monthly journal entries to record such items as prepaid expenses, accruals, amortizations, depreciation, note interest, subsidiary revenue reporting and revenue reservesAnalyze balance sheet accounts, revenue and expenses and explain variancesPrepare monthly Financial ReportsReconcile balance sheet accountsSupport integration of acquisitionsIntegrate acquisitions into the financial accounting processSupport Programs by responding promptly and accurately to inquiriesSupport the annual financial audit process and special audits during the yearCross-train with the other staff to perform duties during absenceRemain composed in a stressful environment and deal with frequent deadlines and multiple prioritiesFollow instructions and use critical thinking skills to make decisionsAbility to handle stressful situations and interact with othersMust be present during working hours at the office for in person meetings and access to a computer without violating company policyComply with internal financial controls, policies and proceduresQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in AccountingPrior accounting experience (2+ years)Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
