Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams with proper patient positioning, compression, and exposure technique to achieve diagnostic-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to ALARA principles and radiation safety guidelines.
• Support breast imaging services beyond mammography as needed, including related outpatient imaging procedures within the breast care workflow.
• Prepare and document imaging studies, ensure correct patient identification, and verify exam requests and patient history.
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and effective communication throughout the imaging process.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other technologists to review images, address technical factors, and ensure timely exam turnaround.

Requirements

• ARRT certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in breast imaging or mammography
• Ability to work in an outpatient imaging setting
• Proficiency with standard mammography protocols and patient safety practices

Notes on assignment specifics

• Location: Cumming, GA
• Schedule: 8:30 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday
• Holidays: Must work two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve) as part of the assignment requirements
• Travel assignment: 40 hours per week, 13 weeks guaranteed to start on or around the posted start date
