Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.Our technical expertise is paired with an exceptional team of business development, human resources, finance and accounting, information technology, and marketing professionals, all of whom play a key role in bringing our commitments to life every day.The Plumbing Designer serves to focus primarily on the design of building-related projects, including educational campuses, military bases, healthcare facilities, hotels, apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, and more using Revit and AutoCAD software.Responsibilities:Design plumbing drawings for various building typesDevelop system design calculations and select equipment for use in buildings including sump pumps, sewage ejectors, water heating systems, water booster stations, etc.Preparation of detailed design documentsSpecification writing/editingCode compliance researchCollaborate with various team members for coordinating services with other disciplinesSite surveys to determine existing conditionsProvide construction administration support including submittal reviews and RFI responsesSkills:Familiarity with local and state codes, accepted standards and design guidelinesExcellent work ethic and characterStrong verbal and written communications skillsAbility to work collaboratively with others but also independentlyGood time management and organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize obligations to meet deadlinesQualifications and Experience:Minimum of 5+ years of experience in plumbing design for various types of facilitiesProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office softwareBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (a plus but not required)EIT / PE a plus but not requiredThorough knowledge of engineering principles and experience in a broad spectrum of building typesLocation: Vista, CATravel: up to 10%Compensation & Benefits:The expected base salary range for this role is $45 - $50 per hour.
