Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Description

Busy private dental practice is seeking a mature, friendly, and courteous professional to join our team as a Registered Dental Hygienist. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal communication skills to educate patients on oral hygiene, discuss needed treatments, and maintain professional interactions. A strong knowledge of soft tissue management, attention to detail, and a personable disposition are essential to provide the exceptional service our patients deserve. Familiarity with Dentrix software and digital x-ray technology is a plus. We accept PPO insurance and cash-only patients, with no HMOs.

Responsibilities

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
Conduct thorough oral hygiene assessments
Manage soft tissue effectively during treatments
Perform professional dental cleanings
Operate digital x-ray equipment
Communicate treatment needs clearly to patients
Maintain strict infection control protocols

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of dental hygiene experience
Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license
Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and soft tissue management
Experience with digital radiography
Familiarity with Dentrix software
Strong patient communication skills
Knowledge of infection control procedures
High attention to detail
