Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience./ppSummary: The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations./ppPosition Responsibilities:/pulliExperience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination/liliUpdating patient information/liliCollects and stores specimens according to established procedures/liliProperly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required/liliDemonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles/liliFully understand all of the physicians orders/liliMatches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes/liliLabel, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order/liliCheck all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct/liliPackage specimens for transport/liliStores specimen sample according to required temperature/li/ulpHigh School Diploma or GED minimum 1 - 2 years of experience/p/div
