Pharmacy Technician

IMC is looking to hire a full time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacists by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties as required. Utilizes PYXIS restocking patient areas as well as for inventory management.

Education/Licensure/Certification/Registration:

High School Diploma or the equivalent
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification or licensure in the State of Louisiana

Training And Experience:

One-year related pharmacy experience and/or training or graduate of certified training program/healthcare careers college
Hospital experienced preferred
Retail experience accepted
Basic computer knowledge
Must be motivated
PYXIS experience preferred
