Overview Wellness Director Oliver Woods Assisted Living & Memory Care Join a team that is passionate about creating meaningful moments and providing exceptional care for seniors every day. We are seeking a compassionate, hands-on clinical leader to serve as our next Wellness Director / Resident Care Director. In this leadership role, you will guide the clinical team, support resident wellbeing, and help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for both residents and staff. This is an opportunity for a nurse or experienced healthcare professional who thrives in senior living and is passionate about leading with empathy, accountability, and heart. Who We’re Looking For LPN preferred Strong clinical background (e.g., Respiratory Therapist or other healthcare professional) with leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare settings Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills Passion for serving seniors and creating an outstanding resident experience Position Summary As the Wellness Director, you will oversee the overall direction, coordination, and delivery of resident care services within our community. This role leads and supports the clinical team, ensures quality care and regulatory compliance, fosters meaningful employee and resident connections, and reinforces the 1440 care standard where every minute matters for residents and team members alike. Required Experience LPN registered within the state preferred; CDP required prior to or upon hire within 90 days. Assisted Living/Memory Care experience preferred Leadership experience preferred Proven ability to manage revenue and financials Proven high performer Ability to work through complex issues and problem-solve Accountabilities Lead, manage, and be accountable for your team and their performance Oversee revenue for Wellness, Evaluations & Care Conferences and Service Plans; ensure right care at the right price with the right staff Alzheimer’s and Dementia Program Coordination Understanding and leading our 1440 care standards Communicate vision and translate organizational, community, and wellness goals to team, staff, and residents Lead community partnerships with fellow leaders and external partners; follow through on action items Other Key Responsibilities Wellness Marketing: collaborate with the Executive Director and Sales Team to increase visibility, credibility, and trust Perform admission and ongoing resident evaluations Manage state regulations and audits to ensure compliance Obtain written orders for changes to care plans Verify MARS/TARS and coordinate with pharmacy for medication and treatment accuracy Review incident reports to determine need for assessments or care conferences; address personnel issues as needed Communicate emergency policies and keep staff updated Work toward continual improvement of the organization Be available for a flexible schedule including on-call, weekends, and holidays when necessary Perform other duties as assigned Skills for Success Apply knowledge of business and competition to advance the organization Manage complex situations Build strong resident relationships and uphold 1440 Care Standards Consistently achieve results under challenging conditions Plan, schedule, and prioritize to meet community needs Build strong teams and apply diverse skills to achieve goals Manage conflict resourcefully Share vision and motivate others to action Relate openly with diverse groups Understand organizational structure and navigate policies and relationships Communicate clearly and frequently Address difficult issues directly Be open to trying new things and learning from successes and failures Working Conditions This position entails standing for long periods. You will communicate effectively with others, and may sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboards, phones, papers, files, and other equipment. You may be required to reach with hands and arms and review detailed documents. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Occasional travel may be necessary.
